Because You Asked About the Line Between Prose and Poetry

Sparrows were feeding in a freezing drizzle
That while you watched turned to pieces of snow
Riding a gradient invisible
From silver aslant to random, white, and slow.

There came a moment that you couldn’t tell.
And then they clearly flew instead of fell.

  1. BRW Josef Sudek is one of my faves. I have a quintet of B/W silver contact prints from his longtime assistant Petr Helbek of an ancient forest outside of Prague. They are sensational and framed in 19th c frames dark wood with a sliver of gilt. I’ve been asked many times to split them up but am waiting for someone that will display the entire series. The perfect house would be stark and contemporary w natural light. Magnifico!
